I have to give credit where its needed. These guidelines were from JT I just copied them and made slight changes.
Winner of the Homegrown Offroad "Monthly Rig Contest" will have "their" picture posted as as a Homegrown Offroad Main logo for an entire month. Every page navigated here on Nolimit will have the winners Jrig on it at the very top.
This contest is solely for bragging rights, there are no gifts, discounts, prizes of any kind.
1. Post your submission (picture only of your own rig, no write ups necessary, please make a short comment on the post about your location as it will create an interest for discussion) from the 5th through the 15th of each month. Only registered members will be allowed to enter. As submissions are received they will be posted in a non poll form for everyone to see. Feel free to enter any photograph (only one), do not duplicate your entries with the same photo if it was previously entered, even though it did not win. If you linked a picture which runs out of bandwidth having a Red X, we will delete the picture entry. If the picture is up for vote doing the same, it will be deleted and you will be disqualified.
A. Please post your picture directly on the Entry Thread.
2. Moderator will choose from 2 to 5 entries out of all the ones that were submitted & place them up for final vote. Decisions made by the Moderator of Nolimit with regards to this contest are final. An entry may be withdrawn by the NoLimit member at any time prior to voting. Once it is up for vote it will not be eligible for withdrawal.
Listed below is the criteria used, if you don't agree we can not help you as it is final.
A: Rig: What is the Rig doing, if it's a pose we look at the position of the pose or stand. We don't care if the vehicle is highly modified or not, this does not come in to play. We look for a mix but action shots will always be a priority.
B: Type of Scenery, percentage of vehicle blocking the scenery.
C: Quality of picture, are the highlights blown out, is it too dark or out of focus.
D: Originality, something we have not seen before.
Not all pictures have all of the above points (sometimes they do), We merely take an average as we have developed a point system. If you do not make the vote this time around don't give up. As you can see from past contests, we have people that continually try and have fun at it... my hat's off to them. Ultimately it is the members of NoLimit who vote and determine the winner.
3. Pictures will be posted in a "Poll" for all to vote on, from the 16th through the 27th day of the month. There will be exceptions to these dates if Moderator is traveling or has unforeseen circumstances.
4. After the monthly "Poll" is created all forum members are invited to vote for their favorite! It will be a vote only poll, you may post comments at any time, but only after you vote. Votes are private and no one will see or know who the votes belong to. Only registered members will be allowed to vote once. Guests of Homegrown Offroad that are not registered may see and read results only.
5. Majority voting will decide the winner. In the event of a tie, there will be a run-off poll that will run approximately 3 days with the Jrig pictures involved in the tie. In the rare event that the Run Off vote happens to tie, the Moderating Homegrown Offroad Team will have to make a decision to split the tie & declare a winner. Decisions made by the Moderating Team of the Rig of the Month contest, are final & may not be disputed.
6. We are looking for!
A. Pictures of your Rig.
B. Pictures can be of anything as long as your Jeep is on them. Action, driveway, beach, parking lot, event, etc. We will also except a picture of your ugly face as long as your Rig is in it. There is no voting criteria. Please try to vote for some sort of uniqueness with regards to the all around photograph.
C. Pictures with special affects on them are accepted as long as your Rig is not distorted.
D. When you email a picture for submission make sure that the picture is no bigger than 640x480 in size. Picture of the winner will be reduced, the winning picture may be modified to fit the guidelines of the Nolimit Logo. If there is room & the picture is not obscured by it, Homegrown Offroad Username of the winner will be written inside the photo.
E. In order to be fair, winner of the "Rig of Month Picture" for the current month, will not be allowed to enter for the next two months. The only exception... If there is only one entry for that month, they will be allow to make a submission towards the end of the entry period in order to have at least two entries for the run off voting. If there are zero entries for any given month, the current last month's winner will remain in display on all of the Homegrown Offroad pages until there is a new winner.
These Guidelines & Regulations were written by the Moderator that will be conducting this contest. Suggestions for possible changes should be directed to the Moderator & not the Administrator.
Participation & voting is important for the long term existence of this Monthly Homegrown Offroad Contest.
